Day 17- May 15th

Oh, today!

We started out by taking a day trip as a class to Kew Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful and humongous! They had three giant greenhouses, a gazebo, a water lilly house, a Japanese zen garden (complete with 10 story tower), a 6 story tree walk (where you can look over the trees and see the entire garden), a lake, and every flower you could want to see. And then the adventure to Rome began.

There was a little miscommunication about when to meet up, so we left about 20 min late, and since we were out on the outskirts of the tube line there wasn't a train every 5 min. So we had to sprint through the tube station to the bus depot, see our bus leave, bang on the doors, have the bus driver look at me and continue to drive, get on a later bus with the slowest driver known to man, and get to the airport 10 min after the gate closed...we did not make it to Rome. But we did get a lovely tour of the English countryside via the shuttle bus. We were so exhausted by the time we got home that Sierra and I barely had the energy to drag ourselves to Cafe Diana for some fish and chips, and then come home and shower and put ourselves in bed.

Oh well, I didn't eat pizza by the Colosseum tonight; but being in London ain't that bad either ;)
